A variety of mineral quartz with a pink hue that is thought to be due to microscopic inclusions of aligned silicate mineral fibres, or from impurities of iron, manganese or titanium.

Some crystals may be carved by hand so might not be as perfect as machine cut pieces. I try to photograph any of these imperfections but some are difficult to see on camera.
