Mini Rhodonite Point

Rhodonite is a manganese metasilicate mineral and was named from the Greek word meaning "a rose" due to the colour. The rose-red hue is caused by the manganese cation (a positively charged ion of manganese, formed when a manganese atom loses one or more electrons.

Please note - crystals are natural products of the earth which means they are likely to have imperfections; surface marks, inclusions, cavities and/or natural chips. Some crystals may be carved by hand so might not be as perfect as machine cut pieces. I try to photograph any of these imperfections but some are difficult to see on camera.
